We all know Spring is the season of new life and the signs of change are certainly starting to appear all around Dorset. The days are getting longer, brighter and warmer, the trees are bursting into leaf and the air has that distinctive earthy fragrance that starts to appear in early March-time.

In the lambing sheds of our client Kingston Maurward (KM), a whole host of lambs have been welcomed into the world. Check out their (brilliantly-named!) live EweTube stream here to see the bouncy babies and loved-up Ewes in action.

Kingston Maurward College is a traditional yet modern land-based College sat in the heart of Dorchester, Dorset. The campus is set in 750 acres of stunning parkland where students get to experience a ‘hands on’ approach to education, working with some of the best practical teaching facilities in the country. The College offers a wide range of courses including Countryside & Wildlife Management, Equine Studies, Floristry, Outdoor Adventure and Horticulture.

In addition, Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a well established tourist attraction in it’s own right, pulling in over 30,000 visitors a year and the grounds also boast successful Outdoor Adventure and Equestrian Centres. The picturesque estate is regarded as the ultimate Dorset country house wedding venue and the 18th Century mansion house is the ideal choice for a variety of corporate functions and events.

Last month with Spring in the air, KM decided the time was right to launch their brand new website, designed and developed by the Digital team at CuCo.

When the College approached CuCo last year, the website they had in place was outdated, inflexible and impractical for everyday content management. The different aspects of the parkland and house were all forced onto the one site, meaning that the messages of each were being diluted by, and competing with, one another.

Our web developers sprung into action and designed and developed six separate ecommerce-friendly WordPress website solutions for Kingston Maurward, vastly improving the UX by allowing visitors to find what they are looking for more quickly and ensuring the messages of each offering were as strong as possible, whilst also ensuring cohesion across the elements. Social feeds allow a real-time showcase of all the exciting activities taking place across the whole estate. The website is modern and clean and the photography showcases the vibrancy of this extraordinary College, house and grounds.
