A New Decade for Dance: CuCo launch PDSW website
The launch of PDSW’s website comes after years of collating valuable consumer insights and using key data to clearly understand its audience.

Registered charity, Pavilion Dance South West (PDSW) based in the heart of Bournemouth town, is delighted to announce the launch of its innovative new website. The user-friendly site aims to enhance the quality of individuals lives through dance and encourage new audiences to the performing arts centre. These communities include individuals of all ages, professional choreographers, dancers, producers and people living with Parkinson’s.
The launch of PDSW’s website comes after years of collating valuable consumer insights and using key data to clearly understand its audience, allowing the new website to be tailored to meet the needs of the venue’s community. Having already developed the PDSW brand vision, CuCo Creative, a digital branding agency based in Bournemouth, were keen to revolutionise PDSW’s offering and bring the arts centre’s successful and ever-growing profile into a new digital decade.
The popular performing arts centre is built up of a 192 seat theatre, large ballrooms, dance studios, an auditorium and an outdoor event terrace situated in the Bournemouth’s scenic gardens. With such a unique offering of performances and dance classes, PDSW needed a website that would be simple to navigate, not only for its customers but also for its staff and stakeholders.
CuCo Creative developed a website with User and Customer Experience at the forefront of the project. By implementing an arts management ticketing system called Spektrix into the build, allowed PDSW’s internal team too easily and effectively manage bookings, marketing and its fundraising platforms, all under one effective cloud-based system.

We are extremely pleased with the new website and all its cutting-edge functions. On the building of the site, Marketing Coordinator, Emilie Barton was particularly impressed with the page templates designed by Cuco, which made each element simple to construct. Since the launch, the team has received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from our stakeholders and customers. We wanted to create a digital hub which allows our community to easily navigate their way to their favourite dance classes, book live performances, get connected on social media and keep up-to-date on our latest news. CuCo successfully built this and more. By providing our staff with a platform for internal communication, this has enabled the team to share valuable insights that help to strategically plan for future events and develop PDSW’s 2020 marketing plan. We look forward to the future as we continue to encourage the community to lead a healthier and happier lifestyle and transform lives through dance.
