Branding and signage for popular Bournemouth seafront restaurant chain
The Prom is a branded Bournemouth seafront restaurant chain comprising a collection of café’s, kiosks and diner. Following CuCo’s successful development of the chain’s ‘The Prom’ umbrella brand, we were tasked with sub-branding the flagship restaurant in the chain, The Prom Diner.
Having already developed a strong umbrella brand concept and identity for both The Prom Café and The Prom Kiosks, the Diner required an on-brand profile that demonstrated something extra special – a unique theme to highlight the offering as the flagship eatery. CuCo’s creative team developed a seaside 1960’s theme to work alongside The Prom’s original branding with a retro American style. A comprehensive set of brand guidelines was created, showcasing the brand's font style, alongside a vibrant colour palette, as well as the correct ways to utilise 1960’s photography. With a clear and easy to digest set of guidelines in place, we then rolled out the identity across menus, signage and advertising.
CuCo’s strong brand groundwork has allowed the eatery chain to go from strength to strength, seeing record revenue figures since the launch of The Prom Diner. The brand identity has allowed the venue to stand out amongst other beach restaurant competitors, making beach goers excited to pick the American café for their beach day refuel. Whether visitors are just looking to grab an ice cream, coffee or enjoy American style pancakes, The Prom Diner is the place to be!
