An award-winning Bournemouth-based design agency is celebrating a hugely successful 2013. CuCo Creative have landed several, large, international clients in the past 12 months, propelling them firmly onto the global stage.
These are exciting times for the company’ said Tony Cook, MD and co-founding director of CuCo. To win several new international clients is great recognition for all the hard work of the CuCo team, who have achieved amazing results in the last year. We are truly delighted and are enjoying the challenges and opportunities that working internationally brings.’
CuCo’s selection of new clients features Experian and virtual hosting specialists V-Oasis, with CuCo working on projects in strategy, web design, mobile, branding, campaigns, online advertising, literature, packaging and more.
The Bournemouth agency already works with a number of long-term clients based all over Europe, including major tourist attractions such as The Dungeons, who this year asked CuCo to design both their Halloween and Christmas branding.
But CuCo’s creative flair has also been put to use closer to home.
Earlier this year, CuCo totally re-branded the beautiful Offshore café on Bournemouth beach, transforming all aspects of the restaurant’s brand from point of sale, to signage, to menus.
More recently, CuCo have focused their energy on developing a complete brand identity for the newly developed Dorset Studio School, which opens in September 2014.
Of course everyone at CuCo is incredibly proud to be working with our international clients, but I must say we all feel an incredible buzz when the chance arises to work with a Dorset-based business’ said Christian Cutler, Creative Director and co-founder of CuCo. Many of us grew up in the area and the chance to give local businesses a leg up is a real treat.’
As you might imagine, all this activity gave CuCo the perfect opportunity to expand and in September of this year they hired Claudia Pharoah, born and raised in Poole and fresh out of world-renowned Exeter University.
To be chosen out of so many great applications to join CuCo at such an important time was a real honour. I’ve been at CuCo for just over a month now and am relishing the opportunity to work in such an enthusiastic team and with so many ambitious clients.’ said Claudia Pharoah, Marketing and Communications Assistant at CuCo.
However that’s not all! CuCo have also managed to pick up some impressive awards in recognition of their efforts. At the prestigious NEC Packaging Design Challenge in Birmingham, CuCo’s ‘DipDip’ entry was voted best overall design concept and their design for Bournemouth’s 2013 Holidays Guide was chosen out of all other tourist board entries as ‘Best Brochure Cover of the Year’ at the Carrier Direct Marketing and British Destination Awards.
Oddny Edwards, Marketing Manager at CuCo said
We couldn’t have ended 2013 on more of a high, and we only hope to top this in 2014.’
