How did CuCo Creative build Courtney Thorne’s new web design?

Knowing how important it is to lead with a strong and creative digital marketing strategy, Courtney Thorne identified the time for a complete website redesign to replace their 8-year-old website. After working with Courtney Thorne for many years, building their brand story, application of design, advertising and development of numerous marketing materials, it was the natural process to approach our digital agency team to transform the current website design offering.
Courtney Thorne is the pioneer of nurse call systems and services. Since 1968, they’ve been responsible for creating trusted nurse call systems for care home and hospital settings.
The Brief
CuCo Creative kicked off the project by analysing the old website design with valuable input from Courtney Thorne. From here, we established what their main objectives were.
These key objectives were to increase brand association and initial awareness. Deliver a responsive website design with mobile-optimised content delivery. Improve the user journey with an eye on increasing traffic retention. Make key information easily digestible to increase conversion through product sales and, finally, outperform its competitors with a high-performing website on search rankings.
Our digital agency SEO Audit and Competitor Analysis identified that SEO needed to become a pivotal mechanism to meet all the brief requirements for their new website.
The primary approach would move towards helping guide people in their decision-making for nurse call systems and gently highlight why Courtney Thorne is the right provider.
How Courtney Thorne’s new website design and build came to life
CuCo Creative’s digital team completely recoded the Courtney Thorne website using modern coding techniques that have a fully responsive design.
All the new web design SEO would focus on their current marketing keywords. In addition, we reviewed the website’s linking structure and included keyword-rich naming. The website design focuses more on hospitals and care homes, emphasising past case studies.
A completely new customer login area with access to user guides, spec sheets, sales presentations, branding assets, and a photo library to make the website more accessible to both new and recurring customers.
CuCo Creative are experts in WordPress website design and build and would use the same CMS for this project, using our own bespoke code. In addition, our agency uses an open-source framework that enables us to design for any device, medium, and accessibility.
Overall, the look and feel of the new website design is modern, with lots of white space, making it easy to digest information whilst offering a sense of being approachable and informative. The choices of colourways, imagery, and tone of voice were in keeping with the existing branding.
Odoo (CRM)
Our creative digital agency chose Odoo for the CRM (Customer Relationship Management). CRM is a technology for managing all company relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers.
CuCo Creative chose Odoo as the CRM provider for Courtney Thorne due to its user-friendly interface, so Courtney Thorne could easily manoeuvre the website. The Odoo platform is also highly customisable and can fit any requirements and needs.
The Odoo CRM is an integrated platform with apps including inventory, HR and Admin, BI & Analysis, eCommerce, A/C Payroll, and purchases all in one place and talk to each other.
Odoo’s tight integration with their eCommerce app made it an easy choice for Courtney Thorne’s website selling accessories for their nurse call systems.
All sales can be synced with Odoo, keeping all transactions linked to each customer and kept up-to-date.
Woo Commerce (eCommerce)
WooCommerce is an open-source, completely customisable eCommerce platform for business owners worldwide. Using WooCommerce, the site can take payments via PayPal and other payment gateways, give customers discounts, manage all orders online and offer additional benefits.
We chose this eCommerce site over others due to its ease and compatibility with other apps like Odoo when appropriately integrated.
