Situated on Bournemouth’s beautiful seafront, the Offshore Café is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a light snack or refreshment and take in the stunning panoramic views of the award-winning Bournemouth shoreline. Needless to say when the Offshore Café hand-picked our branding agency to completely re-approach their brand, we jumped at the chance to apply ourselves to a project with so much potential for creativity.

CuCo developed a fresh, New-England style brand for the café, which we expressed through the cafés logo, menu and interior.

CuCo’s creative team got together for some good old brainstorming (as we always do) to explore the where we could take the brand. We soon realised there was an interesting history associated to the site, this being and old rowing club where enthusiasts would once row on the beautiful sea at here Bournemouth. Therefore we would adopt a strong rowing feel for the brand, to honour and embrace the fact Bournemouth Rowing Club has been situated right next door. Two rowing oars would take place behind the typography and to maintain a maritime theme a rope would circle the brand logo.

The colour palette is soft and instantly feels New-England in appearance. To support the sort tones we applied a whitewood washed effect to all the frames throughout the brand, using all across the café, and made sure every detail was in character, for example, by using thick boat rope to embellish menu boards that would sit above the counter. Finishing touches like a frost effect on the windows with reverse lettering would be used to provide an incredibly elegant feel to the space.

Due to the new and beautiful brand CuCo Creative designed the Offshore Café is now even more comfortable, stylish and perfect than ever before!
