You may have looked at sustainable exhibition stands, modular or even bespoke exhibition stands, all created with a vision to look fantastic at any exhibition. Yet, the critical question is how do you ensure it’s successful?

Luckily, there are numerous ways of creating success for your exhibition stand. So, without blabbering, let’s cut to the chase!

The Design

You might think we’re biased as a creative design agency, but honestly, we’re not! Design influences what we believe, the way we feel and the decisions we make; you can read more about that here

Audiences are naturally drawn to anything visually appealing, which is why you need an attractive-looking stand! Design is a crucial marketing tool that shouldn’t be underestimated. You can’t have a successful stand without making your exhibition capture the eye of your customer base. So it is essential to create an aesthetically pleasing exhibition stand, yet it goes further than design alone. Careful consideration of essential brand USPs or messaging has to be considered. The question has to be asked, what is the number goal of the exhibition stand? Does the design successful meet the criteria of its purpose? By ticking these boxes, you are on the right path to making your stand a success.

Entertainment

We all have a competitive element, no one’s immune to flipping the monopoly table on a very long Christmas day!

Games are fun; even if they’re frustrating, people love games. In fact, the global gaming industry is now worth more than $300 billion! As Robbie Williams once said, well should have said, “let my exhibition stand entertain you”. Yes, terrible, we know, but entertainment is all about having fun! Back to the point. The need to entertain your audience as part of your marketing strategy can have considerable appeal to draw in the crowds, helping brand recognition. We believe the use of games can offer some much-needed relaxation and fun at fast-paced trading shows where everyone is trying to market their product. It takes the edge off the day and helps keep the audience in your stand for longer, helping drive your brand message. Entertainment doesn’t need to be high-tech; it can be a throwing game, quiz or challenging task. Or, if you want a high-tech experience to really get people talking, then go all out with an interactive VR experience.

Either way, you’ve got to encourage your audience to come to your stand, and entertainment is an engaging way to do so.

Freebies and giveaways

Free things! Who doesn’t love free things? You’ll often find university students fighting over pens and bottle openers at freshers’ fairs, and why wouldn’t they?

From goody bags to sweets and pens, the list is endless. Free things are simple and a memorable way for a potential customer to connect with your brand. Extra brownie points if you can personalise your freebies with your personal branding!

You can even have a giveaway, from cars (for those with big pockets) to PS5s. Whatever the offering, remember the valuable end goal, obtaining contact details for all your marketing comms. For example, use a giveaway to keep the audience checking your website to see if they won! Those valuable hits and opportunities to promote your services or products outweigh the value of the prize.

QR Codes and feedback forms

When calculating the fruits of your marketing and design endeavours, you’ll need to know what your customers think. Yes, this can be done with sales reports alone. However, feedback forms are a valuable device to understand further what was successful or unsuccessful about your exhibition stand and make changes accordingly to maximise the marketing effects of your stand.

You could traditionally make your feedback forms, but we like QR Codes, which have had a rebirth since Covid-19 struck. Read all about this here.

QR Codes are an easy way to make your company appear modernised and can be very convenient, especially in busy fast paced exhibition halls.

You can add QR codes to leaflets or giveaway items, giving your customers the ability to provide feedback quickly from their homes. Your QR code could even link to your website or social media, instantly boosting the traffic on your website.

Yes, yes, and yes! I want all of this!
